My intention with this project was to do a realistic-ish watercolor painting. It didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted, but i’m happy with it given the time. In part one is where I did the simple ink sketch.

My final project was a watercolor painting. This way I sort of tried to give more depth and of course there is the color which is what I wanted so the the painting sort of has life.

I’d say it was a success. It had been a while since I worked with color, and because I didn't work on it as long as I was hoping, I think it came out pretty good since I was just kinda going with the flow and didn't have a set plan for how I was going to complete the painting.

My project may have gotten weaker since again I didn’t put a lot of time to give that realistic detail. It didn’t necessarily come out in the style I was hoping, but it is still a super cute simple watercolor painting.

My watercolor painting skills were really tested with this project. I wanted to see what I could do on my own without being in an actual class with the teacher’s help. And because this was truly all on my own, with no outside professional help and input, I think it is pretty good. This project itself doesn’t really have a deeper meaning, it was more for me and testing what I could do.

I would definitely try working with watercolor again, it was really fun. And I would want to see what I could do maybe on a bigger scale or with more time to pay attention to detail.
